We offer a complete grooming service.
Whether it's a hydrobath or a new hair style or colour, we will groom your pet during their stay,
or day appointments can be arranged for local clients.

Long Term Stays

Long-term residents feel at home here

At Homebush Boarding Kennels, we have many a furry family member who spends a lengthly stay with us.

Whether you're on a 4 on 4 off roster at the mines, or you're travelling overseas for a vacation, speak to Kristine about her long term care.

For your added convenience, if you're on a mining roster & are unable to drop off or pick up your pets during normal business hours, or maybe your flight doesn't arrive back in town until after the kennels would be normally closed, just speak with Kristine and she will be happy to offer more flexible options to suit your travel times.

Cattery

Your cats can relax on a holiday of their own.

The Mediteranian style Cattery is surrounded by beautiful gardens & located nearby to Kristine's family home for the most personalised care.

Cat family's can comfortably be housed together in the roomy cattery pens, decked out with scratching posts, beds, toys & lush pots of catnip growing. Some pens offer a view to the beautiful gardens outside, providing a carefree and relaxed home away from home for your cat. Even for those cats who may not be 'the most sociable feline', you can rest assured that they will find their safe haven here.

Small Dogs

If your small dog is used to living indoors, there would be nothing more stressful than to put them into a kennel away from a familiar home environment. Kris provides for the special needs of "house dogs" by offering a home environment during their stay.. Now this doesn't mean that she will share her bed with them all, however, they will be free to run around in social groups in the house yard specially set up for small playful dogs. These small breeds love the socialisation and interaction of other small dogs who are equally sociable.
All in all - this enables a stress free stay that they'll look forward to coming back to next time.

Large Dogs

Large dogs are well catered for

Large pens available for our giant friends - some comprising a single bed, and raised feeding stations for their utmost care & comfort.

Birds & Small Animals ~ Guinea Pigs, Pet Mice & Rats

Your birds & small furries such as your pet guinea pigs, mice or rats will be well cared for here too.
Make sure you let us know of any specialty diet requirements and we'll do the rest.

Guinea Pigs

Here at HBK, we love your small pets, just as much as your larger fur-family members....
Guinea Pigs are most welcome & a balanced diet consisting of guinea pig mix, grass, fresh fruit & vegetables are provided daily.
Long or short-term stays available.

Rodents ~ Mice & Rats

Your pet mouse or rat will enjoy his stay here with us, housed in his usual home & fed his usual diet, and they will be given the same personalised attention as all our boarders. Long or short-term stays available, just talk to us about their usual feed regime so we know what treats they expect, just like at home!

Birds ~ from Budgies & Finches, to Eclectus & Macaws...

Birds are most welcome at Homebush Boarding Kennels and are one of Kris's favourite's. They are given personalised one on one care, just as your cat or dog would be, housed in an indoor environment, around family & given whatever special care you request. If they love to come out of their cage, then just let us know what they like, and we will make sure that they get that loving attention. It's preferable that they come to us in their usual cage where possible, as it is less stressful for them being in their familiar environment. For longer term stays, if your parrot or large bird companion requires something larger than the transport cage that you bring him to HBK in, please speak with Kristine upon booking, and prior to your arrival day, to allow a large cage to be organised for their longer stay & comfort.

We understand the needs of birds and special diets are catered for ~ you can either supply special foods, or let us know what they need & we'll be happy to provide them with their usual favoured cuisine. Just let the attendant know upon arrival any special instructions for handling & feeding.
Long or short-term care available

Optimum Nutritional Food

Your dogs and cats will be fed premium top quality food whilst enjoying their stay at our kennels. If your pet has special needs, just let us know and we'll be sure to feed them according to their requirements. We stock most prescription premium foods for pets with medical conditions requiring special diets.

Exercise

Dogs enjoy a walk morning & afternoon through the canefields & countryside. This is one service that makes us unique. For dogs with medical conditions or special needs, alternate exercise is offered with either a short walk to allow them to stretch their legs and sniff the grass, or the use of the large exercise enclosures for some out and about time at their own pace. Whatever it may be, you can rest assured that your pet is well cared for and not just left in their pen for the length of their stay.

Family Dogs Housed Together

Companion dogs enjoy their stay immensely when they have their best doggy friend along for the ride.

We are able to accommodate groups of family pets together, allowing your pet to enjoy their stay without the stress & anxiety of being seperated from their entire family pack.

Each dog will have their own bed, and feeding time is supervised.
They'll be walked together aswell for the ultimate enjoyment of their stay.
